How much does a bookkeeper cost?

For most small businesses, monthly bookkeeping with Fantail starts from around £150 + VAT per month, rising with the size and complexity of your business. Because every business is different, we give you a fixed, exact quote after a free consultation — so you know precisely what you'll pay.

What affects my price?

Mainly your transaction volume, how often you need the books done, whether you're VAT registered, and which extras you want (such as payroll or management accounts). We build a package around exactly what you need — and nothing you don't.

Is Xero included in the price?

Yes. As a Xero Gold Partner we manage your Xero subscription as part of every package, so it's one less bill to think about and you're always on the right plan.

Are there any setup fees?

If you need a Xero setup or migration from another system, that's a one-off project we'll quote up front. Day-to-day bookkeeping then runs on your fixed monthly fee with no surprises.

Can I change plans later?

Absolutely. You can upgrade, downgrade or add services as your business changes — just let us know and we'll adjust your package from the next month.
